The Kansas City Chiefs have had some incredible running backs lead the charge for their team since their inception in 1966. Who has gained the most yards on the ground for the Chiefs?

Young Chiefs fans have had the joy of knowing big time running backs leading the way for the team in recent history. The Chiefs have always been a team known for their strong running game, and they even have one of the best running backs currently in the game on their roster right now.

It really shows how much this team relies on the run game and having that great running back to fight for yardage and get the offense down the field. Even when Jamaal Charles went out with an injury in 2015, the Chiefs fought back with two running backs and managed to make the playoffs in what seemed like a helpless season.

With the offseason in full effect and with Charles’ future in Kansas City not entirely certain (although I’m sure he will return to the team in 2016), I thought it might be fun to take a look at the 15 running backs for the Kansas City Chiefs who gained the most yards on the ground. Some of these guys might be memorable, others might be before your time.

Regardless, it’ll be a fun trip down memory lane and will make us appreciate having a good run game even more!
